Before anything else, I am a mother, companion and friend. Growing and helping others grow and paint are the two aspects through which my life goes on, so for my happiness my life is filled with love and humor, and this of course, reflects in my work, which is the most genuine expression of myself... Frequently I find this self being transcended to express a feeling or a mental state of a collective group, be it woman or human being and it is then when I find the best reason for this work. It is well known that the utility sense of the creation is sometimes hard to grasp, which is also true for the person who chooses this path as a job. I have chosen wood as the material of expression for I am a bit urbane and the connection with nature, with the earth, feeds me and always speaks to me |

Sometimes I work with a bunch of wooden fiber, a more modest material and less talkative, but nevertheless he dares to participate. In these cases the source, are the dreams, the experiences (own and foreign), a poetic phrase, the banana tree in my house's patio, the tree, the rock; for the entire world is continuously saying something, and what I do is stop, pay attention in a loving way to listen, see and transmit. |
