to ecotourism and adventure sports. This company was created
by the end of the year 2003, in the colorful town of "Altamira de
Caceres"; town full of tales and tradition from the Barinas state,
eager to show the different scenery and natural resources found at
the hillsides of Barinas.

Gregorio Montilla And Fabiola Berro are
the owners and creators of this proyet. Both
bioanalysts, natives of Altamira de caceres and
Bocono, Trujillo state respectively. Nature
lovers and enthusiasts of certain estreme
activities, consolidated this idea to offer
local and visitor a space for
tranquility,peace,relaxation and joyful practice
of the activities offered. Each of their
children,Daniel Ricardo,Dayana and Rafael will
give you the warmest of welcomes in their own
style.
Jump in to the
adventure and join us whitewater rafting down
the river (Acequia, santo Domingo, or Siniguis) No
experience required only you desire for adventure and
the feeling of adrenaline running alongside the
waters. Our experienced guides will give it all
they got so that the trip will be a fun one. And
most importantly, they will endure your
safety.
During the
ride you will not only enjoy the rapids but you will be
delighted with the natural surroundings. The
season to enjoy this sport id from May to
November.
"Grados High
Adventure" offers you rafting in the Santo Domingo river
as well as in the Acequias river. Our 2 days/1
night packages include one day at Santo Domingo
River (level 2) and another day at Acequias River (level
3) or Singuis (levels 4 and
5).
If what you
are seeking is to practice Canyoning also called
"cascadismo or barranquismo" you may contract our
services at "Grados Alta aventura" and will have an
experience hard to forget.
An outing may
include jumping into deep wells from natural
trampolines, crossing rivers in teams, walking over
rocks, cascade rappelling, and surely high consumption
of adrenaline. The equipment necessary to
take on such activities safely include a helmet, a
harness and a neoprene jacket which is key to
overcome the fresh waters of the
falls.
Grados Alta aventura camp, a beutiful place in
the foothills of Barinas(Altamira de Caceres) at an
approximate elevation of 750 meters and at the shores of
the Santo Domingo river, an extraordinary forest
embedded ingorgeous vegetation, with a great variety of
flora and fauna tipical of the
area
A place to relax
and enjoy and where you will find peace,
surrounded by nature, it has three cabins with a
capacity for seven people and a private bathroom with
hot water. We also have a multiple use club
house with hammocks to relax in after an
adventurous journey, a restaurant, grills,
excellent showers in the middle of the forest,
nearby walkways that lead toward the Santo Domingo
river or the "Laja" creek (which is a water fall
within the camp).
We
also have a beach volleyball court, "bolas
criollas", and an ample space to camp out if you
prefer to set up a tent, along with a spacious
private parking lot. Only 3 kilometer away we
find the beautiful small town of Altamira de
Caceres where many of the sceneries for our
activities are located (cannoning, mountain bike
routes, trekking, and you will also enjoy the
colorful town. Located 15 kilometers away is the
small town of Barinitas, considered the entry to
"los llanos" (plains) of Barinas, and only 38
kilometers away the beautiful town of Santo
Domingo in the Merida state.
